Austrian players and Olympic champions will be in town to mark the beginning of the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships presented by A1.

All 192 players from the 40 competing nations will be welcomed to the city at a very special ceremony to celebrate to the tournament which kicks off on the Danube Island the following day, Friday, July 28.

Not only will players from Austria be introduced to the crowd but fans will also get to meet Rio Olympic gold medalists Alison Cerutti and Bruno Oscar Schmidt of Brazil and Germany’s Laura Ludwig and Kira Walkenhorst.

The players will arrive in typical Viennese style – in a Fiaker, a traditional horse-drawn carriage before being presented to the crowd for interviews.
